Swamp Base 2027

This is not your typical vacation. This is a challenge. You will need to overcome fears, do the unthinkable, and you will be better because of it.

This is Swamp Base. This is high adventure.

San Diego-Imperial Council is sending a contingent of scouts to the Swamp Base in Louisiana. The excursion ventures through remote swamplands and caters to Scouts and registered adult leaders. We will be sending 2 crews that depart the same day.

If you're looking to experience all that you've heard about the swamp, then this experience is for you! A 61.6-mile high adventure canoe trek through the western side of the Atchafalaya Swamp. It takes place over 6-days and 6-nights. The trek includes challenging tests of endurance with specific lessons about the environments, cultures, food, and communities of the Atchafalaya and South Louisiana.
