Join us for the platinum anniversary of Mataguay Scout Ranch by attending one of our three weeks of traditional summer camp!

Take flight with our Aviation Merit Badge program culminating with a glider ride over Lake Henshaw.
Take the trail to First Class in Pathfinders first- year camper program.
The largest range and target program on the west coast.
Experience the building trades program featuring Welding,Electronics, Metalwork, and Plumbing.
Get above it all on our new COPE course and ride the Matagual Valley in the Mountain Biking program.
Get wet in our refurbished pool and enjoy canoeing, kayaking and rowing on Lake Dan Henry.
Go to the tech side with Robotics, Moviemaking, Animation and Digital Technology.
After all that program enjoy a meal in our updated Parker Dining Hall.

Mataguay Scout Ranch is located 10 miles South of Lost Valley

On behalf of the entire staff of Mataguay Scout Ranch, we are absolutely thrilled that you’ve decided to come and visit us this summer.

We look forward to sharing the wonders of this amazing valley with you and your Troop. Scouts will have the opportunity to earn merit badges and open time at the lake and our newly renovated pool.

Early Registration Incentive

Register online and pay initial unit deposit by October 31, 2025 AND pay in full by April 30, 2026. To receive free t-shirts for your unit!

Free Adult Special

Bring 8 or more scouts to camp and pay in full by April 30, 2026, and you will receive a credit for the cost of 1 Adult Leader.

Only 1 discount is allowed per registration.

Payment Policy

ALL camp fees must be paid in full two weeks prior to the start of the camp session including activity fees. Unpaid activity fees within two-week period are subject to cancellation. Registrations with unpaid participants fees at time of merit badge signups may have their schedules dropped.

Unit Deposit is applied toward overall Troop fees owed.

Cancellation Policy

Units that cancel/drop participants will forfeit any payments due by that date, whether payment has been made or not.

‍We have a NO REFUND POLICY.
‍
Each payment is based on the number of campers, not named individuals. If there are any reductions in total numbers (youth or adult) after each payment due date, the unit will be responsible for the money due at the time of the cancellation, even if no payment has been made. We encourage you to find a replacement if a scout or leader needs to cancel. Cancellations due to extenuating circumstances are subject to approval.

Cancellations must be done in writing and emailed to sdiccamp@scouting.org.

Camp Information

Our San Diego mountain camp, Mataguay Scout Ranch, is a 650 acre property owned and operated by San Diego-Imperial Council. It is a great destination for your unit for summer camp and offers a wide variety of programs. Some of the areas of interest that will be running this summer are C.O.P.E., Range & Target, Mountain Bikes, Aquatics, Trades, Aviation (with Glider Rides), Aquatics, Scoutcraft, and more.

On top of that we will have an Older Scout Program and a top notch Trail to First Class curriculmn.

Our private road is located at: 27955 Highway 79, Santa Ysabel, CA 92070. The A-Frame registration station is 3.5 miles from the highway. This is about 10 miles south of Lost Valley Scout Camp, as the crow flies.
