What is a Gear Day? The perfect opportunity for Scouts and their families to acquire, donate, buy/sell, barter, or trade camping gear, outdoor equipment, and uniforms. Most items are free!! No registration required, just show up at Camp Balboa on the dates listed on the dates listed below to donate, sell, or shop for items!
What to Bring:
- Scout Uniforms & patches
- Camping gear
- Backpacks
- Sleeping bags
- Hiking boots
- Tents & tarps
- Cooking supplies
- Outdoor clothing and accessories
- Anything else you think a scout might need
What to Look For:
- New or lightly worn scout uniforms
- Free or great deals on camping and outdoor equipment
- Gear for youth, adults, individuals, packs, and troops!
How It Works:
- If you need gear or uniforms: No registration fee or donation is required. Most items are free!
- If donating: Drop off gear at Balboa Scout Camp main office anytime during the week of September 7, 2026 or bring the items to Atherton Hall Saturday morning after 11:00am.
- If selling/trading/bartering: Bring your gear to Atherton Hall Saturday morning and set the sale
