First Aid, Adult CPR, and AED

Topics include:

  • Adult CPR and The Emergency Action Steps
  • Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and Prioritizing Care
  • Use of Barrier devices… Bleeding Control…Tourniquets
  • Conscious and Unconscious Choking, Burns and Shock
  • Heat and Cold related emergencies and Sudden Illness
  • Injuries to muscles, bones and joints

Participants should:

  • be at least 15 years of age (exceptions can be made by training coordinator)
  • be able to complete strenuous activities (such as bending, lifting, kneeling, etc)

As a result of the course, participants will complete:

  • First Aid and receive a 2-year card.
  • CPR and receive a 2-year card.

This course DOES NOT provide:

  • First aid merit badge - Infant CPR training

NOTE: CPR or First Aid may be taken separately but the cost is the same for all or part of a class. The exact start time of First Aid varies. CPR typically lasts 3 hours.
